Outlaw is trying to auto-add a file that (for some reason) it’s having trouble with.
If you can look in your project folder (on your hard drive) and see if one of the files has an ‘ in it (Bob’s Cool Pic.png, for example) or some other odd character, rename the file and see if that helps. (Outlaw should handle those files just fine, but maybe I missed something.)
The other thing to do is to (quickly) select a different project in the project tree on the left — the trick is that you’ll have to do that as soon as Outlaw starts. You have 2 seconds before the “auto-add” code kicks in.
If you can get a different project selected, Outlaw should stay up and running.
Then right-click the project that causes the problems and choose Properties from the pop-up menu — that should open a pane on the right side. Inside that pane, uncheck the Auto Add Assets box. After that you should be able to select that project without the error coming up.
I’m actively working on fixing this problem, I just haven’t found a way to duplicate it reliably, which makes tracking it down really hard.
